Our 2026 Grant Cycle is now closed.

Additional Details:

1.     After receiving a grant in a prior year there is NO “sit out” from the annual grant process the following year; however, nonprofits that have been selected and awarded annual grant funding for two consecutive years will sit out of the WFED annual grant cycle for one year and will be eligible to reapply the following year.

2.     Funding is available to Nonprofit Organizations 501(c)(3), Schools, Churches, and Service Organizations that meet the following criteria:

• Have nonprofit status
• Nonprofits must directly serve the West Slope of El Dorado County, and all grant funding must be spent on/for the benefit of programs and services within the west slope of El Dorado County.  (El Dorado Hills to Silver Fork)
• Provide services to the western slope of El Dorado County

3.  If an organization does not have an established western slope office or nonprofit status, it may collaborate or partner with a qualifying organization. The qualifying nonprofit will serve as the annual grant applicant. At the time of grant review and initial application vetting, sponsoring agencies may be required to submit a signed acknowledgement of their responsibilities as a fiscal sponsor.

4. All annual grant applicants will be notified if your application has been selected for the WFED ballot via email by March 16, 2026.

5.  Annual grant applicants selected for the WFED ballot will be expected to participate in our Ballot Showcase event on April 2nd, 2026.  Additional details will be clarified upon notification of your grant application status by March 16, 2026.

• March 16, 2026  Notifications to annual grant ballot finalist to prepare presentation for the April 2nd Ballot Showcase.

MAY 2026

• May 14, 2026 WFED Grants Gala
• May 29, 2026 Annual Grantee Funding meeting; checks are distributed from the El Dorado Community Foundation directly to the grantees

Women's Fund El Dorado requires nonprofits receiving annual grant funding to submit a written interim and final report documenting the effectiveness of the grant, including measurable outcomes, on January 31, 2027 and June 30, 2027 respectively. We ask that each recipient acknowledge our gift in press releases, on their website, and in their written materials. This recognition helps us grow our membership and extend our philanthropic reach within the western slope of El Dorado County.
